Imphal: Security forces on Monday arrested two individuals, who were in possession of contraband item Ganja from Mao gate police check post, Senapati district.
The two individuals were identified as Ajmir Sarif, 19, of Lilong Chingkham Makha, Thoubal district and Iliyas Ali Shah alias Patu, 19, of Lilong Chingkham Mamang, Thoubal district.
The recovered Ganja was found packed in 18 plastic packets containing Ganja weighing approximately 22 Kg.
Police said the estimated value of the Ganja was about Rs 2,18,230.
One white Winger vehicle bearing registration number AS 23CC- 1074, which was used for transporting the Ganja was seized along with the Ganja.
