Weapons including heavy Mortar launchers, plastic bombs recovered at Indo-Myanmar border in Manipur

Imphal: Security forces recovered war like stores during an operation at Molnom-Senam under Tengnoupal police station, Tengnoupal district in Manipur, bordering Myanmar.

The security forces recovered three heavy Mortar launchers (country made), five Metal IEDs, one IED, five Kg of Plastic IED, one 7.62 mm country made pistol with magazine, one 7.65 mm pistol with magazine, four AK-47 ammunition, six SLR ammunition, six 12 Bore ammunition, 200 grams of Gunpowder, two helmets and two bullet proof jackets.

Five Metal IEDs and one plastic IED were destroyed in situ and remnants were deposited at Tengnoupal police station, said police.
