Imphal: Manipur Police has arrested two teachers in connection with the leakage of the Physics question paper of the Council of Higher Secondary Manipur examination.

The question paper for Physics for Class the XII examination was leaked on WhatsApp on March 3 nearly half an hour before the examination.

Manipur Police said it took swift action in Physics question paper leakage, said police.

A case was registered at the Cyber Crime Police Station, Manipur, and a thorough investigation was launched and apprehended the two teachers.

One of them was Maibam Sunil Singh, 33, son of M. Ibomcha, Nepra Company Makaha Leikia, Thoubal district. He was serving as a Physics teacher at Paradise English School, Thoubal and AOC Exam Centre. He also operates a private hostel, said police.

The other teacher was Ningombam Jagdish Singh, 33, son of N. Bidyashwar Singh, Thoubal district, who was serving as a Chemistry teacher at Paradise English School, Thoubal.

Both individuals were arrested on March 3 and March 4, 2025, following due legal procedures. Incriminating evidence, including mobile phones, has been seized from their possession, police said.
