16 more weapons surrendered

Imphal: A total of 16 different types of weapons, various ammunitions and munitions and other miscellaneous items were voluntarily surrendered by the public in Bishnupur, Imphal East and Imphal west districts.

The weapons were handed over at different police stations on Tuesday.

Manipur governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla had extended the ultimatum to public to surrender weapons for another seven days till March 6.

A total of 93 weapons were surrendered by the public in the first three days of the second round.
