Biren tried to kill me: Former BJYM president

Imphal: Former Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) president Manoharmayum Baris Sharma said, ” CM Biren tried to kill me.”

Baris made this allegation against former chief minister N. Biren Singh.

He said Biren is responsible for destroying Manipur and that he carried out his actions under his directions.

Baris is former close aide to former CM Biren, has publicly accused Biren of being root cause of the ongoing crisis in the state.

When a women folk from Kumbi side stormed his house over his Facebook remarks, Baris accused Biren for destroying Manipur.

During a confrontation with women folk, Baris shouted, “Should I disclose. I was first village volunteers arrested. Whatever he carried out various tasks was under direct order of former CM. Biren tried to kill me. If you want to kill then come and kill me. Biren has destroyed Manipur”.

The women were reportedly angered by his social media post, in which he alleged that the sit-in-protest on February 12 was staged by paying Rs 500 per participant.

Among protestors, a protestor expressed shocked over Baris’s claim stating that they were deeply hurt by his remarks.
