Imphal: Manipur Police arrested two persons including a government employee following arrest of one migrant who possessed fake ILP pass.
In the drive against illegal immigrants and ILP monitoring exercise by Jiribam district police, on January, one Sambabu Rabidas, 38, son of late Babulal Rabidas of Kaptanpur part-16 near 1046 No. LP School, Rangirkhari was arrested for possessing fake Labour ILP ‘purportedly’ issued by the office of the deputy commissioner, Tamenlong.
In the follow up of the investigation, so far, two other accused persons have been arrested including one staff of DC office, Tamenglong. They were identified as one Mr. Jitendra Kumar, 30, son of Suvnarayan Ray, of village Neori near Raskiya Madvidayalaya School, P.O. Mahindwara, P.S. Runnisaidpur, Bihar and Gaiphulung Bosco Pamei (who works at DC office, Tamenglong in ILP issuing section and arrested on Sunday), chief minister N. Biren Singh said in a social media post on Monday.
A case has already been registered and investigation of the case is in good progress, it added.
