Imphal: Manipur chief minister N. Biren Singh distributed skill certificates to successfully trained candidates under Centrally Sponsored State Managed (CSSM) component of Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) 4.0 Special Project for the year 2023-2024 at his secretariat, here on Friday.
The certificates were distributed to 28 inmates residing in the relief camps located at Sawombung and Mangolnganbi College, Ningthoukhong.
Biren appreciated the members of the Manipur Seva Samiti and Humanism Foundation for extending assistance in providing skill training to the internally displaced persons (IDPs).
The government had been working tirelessly to book those culprits who are involved in any violent act and causing harm to other people, he added.
He said the government is making arrangements for the safely return of the inmates to their respective homes located in areas where the law-and-order situation has improved.
He informed that those who had undergone training in different fields successfully could avail collateral free financial assistance of Rs 50,000 provided by the government to start any small business related to the fields they had trained. Further, they can avail loan up to Rs 10,00,000 with 30 percent grant, under schemes introduced by the state government, to expand their businesses.
The chief minister urged the people not to believe in any unfounded and unverified information which are politically inclined to create further unrest in the state.
