Imphal: In its continuous efforts to support and provide relief to the locals, the Indian Army organised a festive Christmas fair at the Relief Camp for Internally Displaced People at Shanghai University in Zipki Tampak village, Churachandpur district.

The event, brought joy, hope and a sense of togetherness to 570 people affected by the ongoing strife in Manipur, said a press release by Indian Army.

This collaborative effort between the Indian Army and locals featured a variety of games, entertainment and cultural performances, which witnessed enthusiastic participation from all attendees. The fair created a vibrant atmosphere of celebration, bringing people together to enjoy the festivities. Essential relief items were also distributed to displaced families, providing much-needed support and spreading Christmas cheer, it added.

“The Indian Army remains committed to being a pillar of support for the people of Manipur and continues to foster social cohesion and resilience in the face of adversity.”
