Imphal: Manipur governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya and chief minister N. Biren Singh extended their greetings to Christians of the state on Christmas.

The birth Jesus Christ is celebrated as Christmas on the 25 December every ycar and it is the most important festival in the life of a Christian anywhere in the world. He was the apostle of peace and preached forgiveness, compassion and love, the governor said.

“I congratulate the Christian missionaries for the massive expansion of educational institutions. hospitals and humanitarian services.” I wish the people of Manipur a very Meny Christmas.”

Biren, in his greetings said, “Christmas is a time of love, peace, and goodwill a season that reminds us of the virtues of compassion, generosity, and unity. It is an opportunity to reflect on the teachings of Jests Christ, whose life inspires us to serve humanity stifles* and promote harmony.”
