Imphal: Amid the chaos of violence filled social unrest in Manipur, Manipur Police nabbed a drug smuggler on a vehicle with Heroin powder on Pallel-Chandel road, on Monday.
The state police intercepted a car on the road connecting Myanmar. Eleven soap cases containing 135 gm of ‘suspected’ Heroin powder were found concealed inside the car.
The driver of the vehicle, identified as Md. Rousan, 24, was arrested and the items were seized along with the car and a mobile phone from his possession, said police on Thursday.
