Imphal: The DGP Trophy for Best Police Station, the DGP Award for Best Police Officer, and the DGP Trophy for Best Battalion 2024 will be presented on October 19, the 133rd Raising Day of the Manipur Police.
Lamphel Police Station, Imphal West district has been declared the first prize winner for Best Police Station. The second prize is shared by Jiribam Police Station from Jiribam District and Churachandpur Women Police Station from Churachandpur District. Patsoi Police Station from Imphal West District and Bishnupur Police Station from Bishnupur District secured the third prize.
In the Best Police Officer category, sub-inspector L. Sarjubala Devi from the Women Police Station in Bishnupur District won the first prize, while sub-inspector Vashum Meena from the Women Police Station in Ukhrul District took second place.
The DGP Trophy for Best Battalion was announced to be awarded to the 1st Battalion of the Manipur Rifles. The 2nd Battalion of the Manipur Rifles and the 8th Battalion of the Manipur Rifles shared the second position, while the 8th Battalion of the Indian Reserved Commando Battalion, Khabeisoi, and the 5th Battalion of the Manipur Rifles were honored with the third prize.
All awardees will receive a trophy, a commendation certificate, and cash rewards, recognizing their exemplary performance and contributions.
