Imphal: Security forces recovered arms and ammunitions, and war like stores from Kuki dominated areas in the districts of Churachandpur and Kangpokpi on Saturday.
Search operations and area domination were conducted by security forces in the fringe and vulnerable areas of hill and valley districts, said Manipur Police Control Room.
One 7.62mm Sniper Rifle, one .22 Rifle, one SBBL gun, two 9mm Pistols, one Improvised Long range Mortar (Pompi), one Improvised Short range Mortar with stand, one Wireless set Baofeng, one MK-III A2 Grenade, two HE-36 Hand Grenades, one WP Grenade, two Stun Shells, 14 live ammunition rounds, two Short range mortar bomb, two Long range mortar bomb, two Long range rocket bombs were recovered with fins from Loiching Ridge, Kangpokpi.
One 5.56mm MA -1 Assault Rifle with magazine, one .22 Rifle with magazine, three live ammunition rounds, two HE-36 Hand Grenades were recovered from Loibol Khullen and Tingkai Khullen, Kangpokpi.
One INSAS Rifle, three Single Barrel Gun (Country Made), two Magazines, 93 live ammunition rounds, six Pumpi Canon (Improvised Pipe Mortar) were recovered from Old Golmuol, Churachandpur.
Three country made mortar (large size, heavy calliber), two country made mortar (small size, heavy calliber), one pompi, Gun Powder -1 kg (approx.), Potash -4 packets (weighing 8 kgs), five country made hand grenade, Sodium -1 (approx.), Unknown explosive (2.5 kgs), one Modified Ak-47 were recovered from Thangjing Ridge, Churachandpur.
