Imphal: Manipur University students protested at the gate of the varsity on Tuesday demanding to end ‘India’s Proxy War’ siding Kuki Narco-terrorists.

The agitating students raised slogans “Stop India’s Proxy war” “Go back Assam Rifles”.

The varsity students marched a rally shouting “We don’t respect Modi, We don’t respect Amit Shah.”

They burnt the effigies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home minister Amit Shah and PC Nair (Retd) Lt general.

“Why the central government treat Manipur as third class citizen? There has narratives of external aggression using sophisticated weapons, related to drugs or immigration. Why is the nation still silent? There is a proxy war against the Meiteis by the central government, using narco-terrorists as weapons.” “If the Centre fails to transfer the chairman of Unified Command to our chief minister, we will feel that Centre has insulted us to a great extent,” said a research scolar.

People of various sections have been alleging the Assam Rifles and other paramilitary forces for siding ‘Kuki Narco-terrorists’ while they attack Meitei village defense volunteers.

Engaging in Narco businesses itself is selfdefeating for any group. The children and women needs to be protected from any conflicts that arises in Manipur. Be it Kuki or Meitei they have to understand that in long run the peaceful mutual cooperation can only bring collective development for Manipur
