Imphal: Communist Party of India, Manipur State Council has demanded the central government to stop cheating Manipur in dealing with the Kuki Narco-Terrorists attacks in Manipur.

Members of the CPI Manipur state council staged a protest rally on Thursday at its Imphal office under the banner “The Solution of Manipur”.

They raised slogans “Allow state government to act freely” as the state government has no authority of Unified Command.

“Protect life and property of people”, “Allow state force to perform actively”, the CPI voiced.

There has been apprehension from the public and various sections that Manipur government cannot do anything to defend from the terrorists as it has no power. People alleged that the central forces, specially the Assam Rifles, for siding the external aggressors.

After Koutruk incident the army and state police department started acting swiftly.

Even so, Cocomi, a conglomerate body of civill society organisations has announced to protest on Friday demanding to act actively against the narco-terrorists.
