Drone, arms recovered in Kangpokpi

Imphal, 3 Sep 2024: Amid the attacks by Kuki-Zo terrorists in Manipur valley using drone bombs, security forces recovered a drone and large cache of arms in Kangpokpi district on Monday.

The drone was recovered from Kharam Vaiphei.

In a search operation the security forces also recovered 10 12-inch Single Bore Barrel Rifles, one improvised Mortar, nine Improvised Mortar Barrels, 20 Gelatin sticks, 30 Detonators, 10 metres of fuse, two country-made rockets, two kg Lead Shot, 94 fired cases, five radio sets, five radio set charger, four radio set adapters, two radio set batteries, four bullet proof harness (without plates) and one helmet from Kangchup Ponlen, Kangpokpi.

In another operation security forces recovered two SLR along with two magazine and one .32 Pistol with magazine, 25 love ammunition rounds, two Baofeng radio sets and two BP cover from Kakching Lamdong, Kakching district.
