Imphal: Manipur chief minister N. Biren Singh extended his ‘warm greetings and best wishes’ to the people of Manipur on the auspicious occasion of Krishna Janmashtami which falls on Monday.
Janmashtami is the celebration of the birth anniversary of Lord Krishna, the eighth avatar of Vishnu. The message of Lord Krishna in the Bhagavad Gita of following the path of Dharma, dispelling the darkness and lighting the lamp of wisdom in everyone’s hearts, is universal and relevant for every human being, irrespective of religious affiliation, Biren said.
“May the blessings of Lord Krishna always be with the people of our state. May he guide our people and the state towards a more peaceful future. May we all be empowered with the strength and wisdom to follow the right path to bring back peace and harmony.”
