Imphal: Manipur Health minister Sapam Ranjan launched 2 months long ‘Intensified IEC Campaign’ and flagged off an awareness cycle rally as part of the campaign from Khagempalli Huidrom Leikai, Imphal West on Monday.
The programme was organised by the Manipur State AIDS Control Society (MACS) under the aegis of the National AIDS Control Organisation (NACO).
Ranjan told reporters that the intensified IEC campaign aims to raise awareness among the public of all age groups, starting with youth, about HIV/AIDS, sexually transmitted diseases, and preventive measures.
He appreciated individuals from various sections and professions in the rally.
The cycle rally, participated by around 150 cyclists, will conclude at NG College.
