Imphal: Security forces have recovered arms, bombs and ammunitions from Thoubal and Imphal East districts on Saturday, during search operations and area domination.
One SMG Carbine along with one Magazine, one Single Barrel, one of Wireless Set, two 81 mortar Shell, five 36 HE Hand Grenades, two Chinese Hand Grenades, one Dye Maker Grenade, one Stun Shell, two Tear Smoke Shell, four Detonators and five 9mm live rounds were recovered from Waithou Hill area, Thoubal district.
One AK 56 rifle along with empty magazine, one SLR along with magazine, one local made SLR along with empty magazine, one .38 pistol along with empty magazine, one 9mm pistol along with empty magazine, one .32 pistol along with magazine empty, one 9mm pistol along with magazine, one 9mm pistol along with empty magazine, one 9mm pistol along with magazine, two HE 36 hand grenades, 20 live rounds ammunitions, 54 7.62mm empty case, one rice sack, one black colour polythene were recovered from Eastern side of Heingang Ching, Imphal East district, said Manipur Police.
However, it was not mentioned of any arrest in this connection. It was not clear to was no clear to whom the warlike stores belonged to.
