Manipur schools to close for another 2 days

Imphal: Manipur government has extended closure of schools for another two days till Saturday.

The schools in the state have been shut down since Tuesday following heavy downpour and subsequent flooding.

In view of the worsening flood conditions which has caused the submergence of a vast tract of residential lands and educational institutions alike, and keeping in mind the safety of the students and teachers of the state, all schools of the state, government, government aided, private and central schools will stay closed on the 5th and 6th of July, said an order issued by director of Education (schools) on Thursday.

The order advised all zonal Education officers and DI of schools (independent charges) under the department of Education-Schools, Manipur to inform all concerned under your jurisdiction and take up necessary actions accordingly.
