Imphal: Manipur chief minsiter N. Biren Singh on Sunday met president of Bharatiya Janata Party  and its general secretary at New Delhi on Sunday.

Biren was on his visit to Delhi to attend NITI Aayog and Chief Minsiters’ Conclave held at New Delhi in which both the programme was chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The chief minister had expressed his hope to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the time he left Imphal for Delhi.

It would be the first for the chief minister to meet the Prime Minister during the nearly 15 months long Manipur crisis of Meitei-Kuki conflict.

Biren on his facebook post posted “Called on Hon’ble Union Minister and BJP President J.P.Nadda Ji at New Delhi. The meeting deliberated on various crucial matters, including the ongoing peace efforts, infrastructure development and various initiatives taken up under the BJP Government.”

In another post he stated “Had a great interaction with Hon’ble BJP National General Secretary, Shri BL Santhosh Ji in New Delhi today. Inspired by his insights on a range of matters concerning the BJP’s contributions in the growth and development of the Nation.”

Various media houses published that the chief minister attended the two programme that was chaired by PM Modi. ‘He failed to meet the Prime Minister’.

People of Manipur have been demanding the chief minister to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi to address the present crisis and to end it with a long term solution.
