Imphal: The 6th session of 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly began on Wednesday without 10 Kuki-zo MLAs who demand a Seperate Administration for Kuki-Zo community.

Of the 10 MLAs seven belonged to the ruling party BJP, two belonged to Kuki People’s Alliance and other an independent.

They are Ngursanglur Sanate (BJP), Letpao Haokip (BJP), LM Khaute (BJP), Letzamang Haokip (BJP), Paolienlal Haokip (BJP), Nemcha Kipgen (BJP), Vungzagin Valte (BJP), Kimneo Haokip Hangshing (Kuki People’s Alliance), Chinlunthang (KPA) and Haokholet Kipgen (Independent).

Nemcha Kipgen and Letpao Haokip are ministers.

The 10 MLAs abstained from the assembly session for the third time after the May 3 incident last year.

Chief minister N. Biren Singh earlier invited them to attend the session.
