Construction materials loaded trucks burnt down in Manipur

Imphal: Two out of four trucks belonging to Bharatiya Infra Project Limited (BRTF) loaded with construction materials which were heading towards Churachandpur were burnt down at Tronglaobi, Bishnupur by an irate mob on Saturday afternoon.

Locals of the area detained the four trucks at Tronglaobi under the jurisdiction of Moirang police station.

The drivers revealed that the construction materials were loaded from Sekmai, Imphal West and to be delivered at Saikot, Churachandpur district.

A team of Moirang Police and teams of RAF rushed to the spot and put the mob under control.

After unloading the construction materials at the spot the two remaining trucks were made returned to Imphal.
