Arms, explosives recovered in Manipur

Imphal: Security forces have recovered arms and ammunitions during their continuous search operations and area domination.

During the search operations one .22 rifle with one magazine, one 9mm pistol with one magazine, one 7.65mm pistol with one magazine, one improvised mortar, two improvised projectile launchers, two sten grenades, one telescopic sight, two Baofeng radio sets, three 40mm UBGL fired shells and 21 ammunition were recovered from Kharam Vaiphei, Kangpokpi district on Monday.

On Saturday, the security forces recovered three remote control IEDs with command mechanism, 25 metres cordtex, two live round ammunition, three fired cases and three lithium cells were recovered from general area of Monghlam, Imphal East district, Manipur Police Control Room said.
