Three injured during Amit Shah’s speech

Imphal: At least three among the crowds were injured at a BJP election rally in Imphal while Union Home minister Amit Shah was delivering his speech.

Amit Shah was, here at Hapta Kangjeibung ground to campaign for BJP candidate of the Lok Sabha seat of the Inner Manipur Parliamentary Constituency, Th. Bashanta Kumar.

The three persons were injured from the sudden falling of Samiyana post.

The incident was reportedly occurred while Shah was addressing the gathering.

In some photos surfaced on social media it was seen that one man and a woman was injured on their heads while another woman was injured on her knee.

Thousands of Karyakartas and BJP supporters came to participate the gathering despite restriction by locals in some parts of the valley area. It is reported that over 30,000 people were gathered at Hapta Kangjeibung.

The injured were given first aid by the medical experts on the spot.
