Imphal: Manipur chief minister N. Biren Singh on Friday said irrespective of caste or community, anyone coming into the state after 1961 which is the base year for Inner Line Permit System will be identified and deported.
Biren made the remarks as he inaugurated Project Buniyaad- Aathmanirbharta Ka Aadhar at Classic Grande Hotel, here.
Project Buniyaad, a skill development programme on Hospitality Managementis by the Honda India Foundation along with the Manipur State Rural Livelihood Mission and Visan Foundation aims to provide employment to the unemployed youth from the marginal sections of the society.
Under this programme, unemployed youth will receive two months training from Visan Foundation in Hospitality Management post which a certification will be provided from Tourism & Hospitality Skill Council.
Biren lauded and thanked the Honda India Foundation for choosing Manipur for the project, said that the foundation has made the right choice as the people of Manipur especially the youth is known for their talents and hospitality.
While expressing confidence that whatever Honda India Foundation is doing is for the betterment of the youth of the state, the chief minister conveyed his desire for the Honda India Foundation to reach out to the hill districts of the state.
He raised his concern for the security of the young trainees, highlighting a recent report of some youth being ill-treated outside. He said that the youth should be very careful before joining companies or institutes and their genuinity and authenticity should be checked.
