Imphal: Seven security personnel of Manipur have been suspended ‘for their grave negligence and dereliction of duties in connection with the looting of arms and ammunition on February 13 from 5th IRB Bn HQ, Chingarel, Imphal East.
Commandant of the 5th India Reserve Battalion, Chingarel, Imphal East, H. Balram Singh has issued a suspension order.
According to the order JC. No. 671 K. Binoy Singh, Hav 55764 Kh. Kaba Liangmei, Rfm 1194437 Ng. Sanatomba Singh, Rfm 15007265 M. Binod Kumar, Rfm 15007596 Dishak, Rfm 15007656 Md. Jabar Khan and Rfm 15007220 Manoj Kumar Bhattarai of 5th IRB have been placed under suspension with immediate effect and until further order.
During the period of suspension, their headquarters will be 5th IRB Bn HQ, Chingarel and they will not leave their headquarters without obtaining the prior permission of the undersigned. They will be entitled to subsistence allowances as admissible under the rules during the period of their suspension, the order said.
