Manipur bags 3rd position in Regional Red Ribbon Quiz Competition

Imphal: Manipur bags 3rd position in Regional Red Ribbon Quiz Competition being held on Friday at Guwahati.

The competition was organised by National AIDS Control Organisation (NACO) and Assam State AIDS Control Society at Dr. Banikanta Kakati Auditorium, Srimanta Sankardeva Kalakshetra, Guwahat.

Manipur team was represented by Lamnganbi Konsam and Linthoiganbi Soram of Tamphasana Girls’ Higher Secondary School. Both of them are studying in Class XI.

The competition was represented by state winners of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and West Bengal.

In a nail biting finish Mizoram bagged first prize with a difference of 5 points as compares to Assam who bagged second prize. Consolation prize went to West Bengal.

The first prize carries a cash prize of Rs 50,000, 2nd prize Rs 30,000, 3rd Rs 20,000 and consolation prize of Rs 10,000.
