Imphal: Pressing the government to trace out two missing teenagers — Maibam Avinash and Ningthoujam Anthony, people staged a sit-in rally at Khurai Thoidingjam Leikai, Imphal East on Sunday.
Yaipha Lamjing Nupi Lup and Eastern Popular Club, Khurai jointly took the sit-in.
Talking to reporters, the secretary of Yaipha Lamjing Nupi Lup, Ningthoujam Premila said the state and central government should bring an end to the present crisis that has been continuing since May 3.
The government should find out the two missing teenagers. To bring an end to the present turmoil both the state and central governments should should push off Narco-terrorists from Manipur and implement NRC in the state, the secretary said.
The two teenagers went on missing since November 5 after they reportedly went to attend a function at Sekmai.
So far state police have arrested two suspects, however, the missing teenagers remain untraceable.
Earlier, CBI has arrested suspects on the missing of another two youths Hemanjit and Linthoingambi, believed to be murdered by Kuki terrorists. The bodies of the two students are yet to be recovered.
