Imphal: Manipur chief minister N. Biren Singh on Monday inspected the dredging work taken up as part of the rejuvenation work of Lamphelpat Water body in Imphal West by the Reach Dredging Limited.
Biren was accompanied by Cabinet ministers Govindas Konthoujam, Awangbow Newmai, Dr. Sapam Ranjan Singh, Thounaojam Basanta Kumar Singh and Kashim Vashum, MLAs Thongam Shanti Singh, S. Kebi Devi, Khongbantabam Ibomcha, Kh. Joykisan, officials of the Water Resources, among others during the inspection.
“The rejuvenation of Lamphelpat Water Body is crucial for the region’s development, addressing current challenges and also in fortifying our region against future water-related issues,” Biren said.
