Imphal: An SDPO of Manipur Police was shot to death by miscreants while inspecting newly constructed helipad at Eastern Science School, Moreh (Indo-Myanmar border town Moreh) on Tuesday.
The officer was reportedly shot with a sniper bullet. He was Chongtham Anand. He received bullet injury at his abdomen area.
The incident took place at around 9.45am.
Anand succumbed to his bullet injury at around 10.15am.
Police reported that the body will be evacuated to Imphal.
