Large arms, ammos, bombs recovered in Manipur

Imphal: In continuation of search operations in crisis ridden Manipur, security forces recovered large number of arms, ammunitions and bombs from Chandrakhong village of Thoubal district on Wednesday.

Acting on specific intelligence, Joint Security Forces carried out combing operation in general area village Chandrakhong  of Thoubal district of Manipur and recovered six automatic weapons, ten Hand Grenades, one 40 mm Lathode,  twenty nine magazines of different weapons, one Radio set, one Bulletproof Jacket, various types of ammunition and other war like stores, the Assam Rifles said.

The recovered weapons have been handed over to police for further investigation, it added.
