Lok Sabha elections’ EVM checking workshop at Imphal

Imphal: A one day workshop on Conduct of First Level Checking (FLC) of EVMs and VVPATs for the Lok Sabha Elections-2024, has been conducted at the conference hall of the chief electoral officer’s office at Lamphelpat on Sunday.

Chief electoral officer, Manipur, Pradeep Kumar Jha stated that the purpose of the workshop is to acquaint all the district election officers and the deputy district election officers/ FLC supervisors with the entire process of FLC so that the Standard Operating Procedures, EVM protocols and related instructions for FLC are strictly adhered to by all concerned.

The workshop was attended by district election officers of all the 16 districts including the five newly designated district election oficers of Kamjong, Pherzawl, Tengnoupal, Noney and Kakching.

The deputy district election officer/ FLC supervisors of all the districts also attended.

Rakesh Kumar, under secretary, Election Commission of India and Nitin Kumar, technical manager, Electronics Corporation of India Limited, Hyderabad, were also present as commission appointed observer and technical resource person respectively.
