“The involvement of Mizoram chief minister in the present crisis of Manipur will be taken as adding fuel to the fire,” the Imphal protestors said. They questioned, “How many crore of Rupees have been taken as bribe from illegal immigrants and Kuki militants?”
A protestor Khuraijam Thasana briefing a group of reporters said the present crisis is occurred in Manipur not in Mizoram and people strongly condemn the act of Zoramthanga for interfering the internal issue of Manipur.
“Why the Meitei inhabiting in Mizoram are threaten to go back from Mizoram? Presently many Meiteis are displaced from Mizoram and have been taking shelter in Assam. More intensified agitation will be taken up against Zoramthanga in response of supporting the ‘separate administration’ demand openly, Thasana said.
Women of Manipur are ready to launch 3rd Nupi Lal to protect the integrity and people of Manipur. The dream to disintegrate Manipur will be useless even if there is support from Mizoram chief minister, she added.
Similar protest was also conducted near Sagolband Moirang Leirak in Imphal West.
