Imphal: Cyber Crime police station, Imphal has arrested one person for trying to sextort through social media (Facebook messenger) on Tuesday.
The arrested person has been identified as one Mohd Sajid Khan, 21, son of Mohd Sakip Khan of Keshtri Awang Leikia, Khetrigao, Imphal East. He was arrested in connection with a case FIR which relates to a complaint report at Cyber Crime Police station, Imphal.
In the complaint made by a person mentioned that one unknown Facebook account having profile name “Prince Ali” and profile url https://www.Facebook.com/profile.php?id 100063891186570″ chatted with her daughter’s Facebook account through Facebook messenger.
Sajid sent dirty and vulgar words to her daughter’s Facebook account and also threatened her that he would upload her morphed nude photo in Facebook if she did not send her naked photos. He also threatened to give her mobile number if she did not want her morphed nude pictures to be made viral on social media.
Police said three mobile phones along with three SIM cards were seized from him.
Sajid is also wanted as he is related with two other FIR cases registered at Cyber Crime Police station/ CID (crime branch) for similar modus operandi crimes by creating fake Facebook accounts having profile name “Henthoi Apng” and “Sathiba Pakhng” to sexually harass different women.
