Imphal: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is fully prepared for the upcoming Manipur state Assembly elections and will give proper responsibility as per policy of the party, BJP Manipur president Adhikarimayum Sarda Devi said on Saturday.
Bharatiya Janata Party, national general secretary (organisation), BL Santhosh left Imphal on Saturday evening.
During the 3-day visit of Santhosh series of meeting were conducted with state party leaders including MLAs. In the meeting various agendas were discussed including for the upcoming Assembly election, Sarda said.
She told reporters at BJP office, here that the main reason for the three visit of Santhosh is to monitor and speed up the Covid-19 vaccination under “Seva Hi Sangathan”.
During his visit he met different ministers and MLAs to get feedback for the present scenario including vaccination in their respective Assembly Constituencies, she added.
Sarda said the vaccination rate in Manipur is increasing as the present status of vaccination is about 6.8 lakh population has taken 1st dose and about 84,000 population has taken 2nd dose. People should get the vaccine as it will be one of the main reasons to defend from the infection, she added.
She appealed the people not to trust the rumours regarding vaccination, instead, should get early vaccination.
She appreciated chief minister N. Biren Singh as under his initiatives Inner Line Permit was implemented in Manipur. To assist the needy people Chief Minister Haksel gi Tengbang as also launched.
In the coming election BJP will be facing with alliance political parties.
According to the policy of the party proper appropriate responsibility will be given to the women members of state BJP which would highlight in the coming election, she added.
