Imphal: Chandel battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR(S), on the occassion of Kargil Vijay Diwas paid homage to the heroes of Kargil War in Chandel district on Monday.
A wreath laying ceremony was organised at native villages of the valiant soldiers. Troops of Assam Rifles laid a floral wreath followed by Guard of Honor at war memorials of Lance Naik S Jirneithang Aimol, Sepoy Nicholas Moyon and Sepoy Beningvir Moyon who made supreme sacrifice during Kargil war.
The ceremony was witnessed by family members of the bravehearts and veterans followed by interaction to address their needs and grievances.
