Imphal: Lockdown in Delhi extended for yet another week as the national capital continued showing high Covid-19 positive rate.
On Sunday noon, Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal announced the extension stating that Coronavirus still continued to wreak havoc in the city.
He said Delhi government will give concessions to courier service and self-employed people providing services, who would need an e-pass. Children’s bookstores and electric fan shops are also exempted, he added.
Unlike before there is 36 per cent to 37 per cent positivity rate, Kejriwal said.
While oxygen delivery has been failed at some places, it was successful in other places, the situation should be under control in few days, he added.
The lockdown was extended ‘as people including traders suggested for extension of the lockdown’ as the lockdown was ending on Monday.
