Imphal: The proposed mass resignation by the joint governing body of Teachers Association (TA), JNIMS (Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences) Association for All Non-Teaching Staffs (AANTS), JNIMS and the trained Nurses association (TNA), JNIMS has been postponed after representatives of the body met chief minister N. Biren Singh on Wednesday.
The joint body on Tuesday declared that it will submit mass resignation on this day ‘against the failure for implementation of 7th revision of pay’.
The representatives of the three associations met chief minister at his office secretariat. Biren told the representatives of the three associations that the matter will be discussed with chief secretary, Rajesh Kumar and advisor to CM (health), Sapam Ranjan.
Biren told them that the state is facing financial constraint however assured to extend necessary assistance, vice-president of AANTS, Nilakanta Kh said.
The submission for mass resignation will be put on hold and further steps of agitation will be followed as per response in the next meeting with chief secretary and advisor to CM (health), which is yet to be fixed, he added.
