Imphal: Nahalup (youth wing) and Ahallup (adult wing) of Andro Panna Loishang have served a 7-day ultimatum to give proper report of fact finding committee formed in connection with the land dispute of Andro and Sandang Senba Maring
Salam Romesh of Ahallup said this on Monday while talking to reporters at Andro Pana Loishang in Imphal East.
A fact finding committee was constituted for submission of a report on the circumstances leading to the firing incident which had taken place on March 29 at Sandang Senba Maring, Kangpokpi district.
A notification issued by commissioner, RD and PR states the committee would recommend measures to avoid a similar incident in the near future. And asked any person who desires to submit documents or evidence on the circumstances leading to the incident among others to submit the same at room number 210 of secretariat (south block), Imphal on all working days by April 15.
Chief minister, N. Biren Singh had assured earlier that the committee will give a report in connection to the incident within 15 days. The deadline of chief minister’s assurance has completed but till date no report regarding the incident has been come up, Romesh said .
If the fact finding committee fails to bring a report within seven days from Monday the youth and adult organisation of Andro will intensfy agitation with support of various civil bodies and others.
Superintendent of police, Imphal East, Jogeshchandra Haobijam told reporters here to avoid happening of unwanted incidents as district police has been taking various precautionary measures in connection with the land dispute issue of Andro and Sandang Senba Maring.
He appealed to the people not to create any issues and not to stop rumours that may raise tension among the two villages during the investigation of the fact finding committee of the land dispute between Andro and Sandang Senba Maring.
