Imphal: Education minister S. Rajen Singh on Saturday inaugurated three government schools under School Fagathansi Mission at different Assembly Constituencies.
The inaugurated schools were Lilong Government Higher Secondary School in Langthabal A/C, Kakching Makha Government High School in Kakching A/C and Kakching Higher Secondary School in Wabagai A/C.
Rajen Singh said works for the construction of new blocks and renovation and repairing of old buildings have been taking up under the School Fagathansi Mission since 2019. With the view to motivate students to go to government schools and colleges the state government has initiated this mission, he added.
The percentage of enrolment of students to government schools have been increasing tremendously after the mission is launched in the state. The teachers in the government schools are comparatively qualified and possesses all the qualities. Efficient service of the teachers is required in order to build a future society. Teachers need to sharpen their talents and practice of teaching should not stop, he added.
In order to make up the deficit classes with the reopening of schools there should be mutual cooperation and understanding between government, school authorities, students and guardians for the smooth running of school classes.
The minister assured to develop the school playground and also to provide necessary items and infrastructures of the school on priority basis.
Rajen said the government schools have been gaining momentum during the past few months. Minister expressed his happiness to the increasing registration of students in the school.
