One expired of Covid-19, recovery rate rises at 97. 41 percent

Imphal: In 24 hours one person, 90 , years (male, Imphal West) expired at Raj Medicity while, 24 persons from general population were confirmed as new Covid-19 positive cases.

The positive cases from general population are from Imphal West (6), Imphal East (1), Thoubal (11), Chandel (1), Kangpokpi (2) and Tamenglong (3).

The cumulative number of deaths was 366.The cumulative number of positive cases was 28,835 and the number of active cases was 380.

The recovery rate rose to 97.41 percent.

Covid 19 vaccination was launched at Jawaharlal Institute of Medical Sciences. The first person vaccinated was N. Romesh, an attendant of JNIMS.

Healthcare workers were vaccinated with Covishied at 10 sites health centres.

Directors of RIMS, JNIMS, Shija Hospital and CMOs of the seven district hospitals were prominent beneficiaries of the vaccine.
