Imphal: With the recovery record of another 358 COVID-19 patients on Sunday the recovery rate has moved up to 83.78 percent in Manipur.
The total number of discharged persons was 358. They were from CAPF (26), Home Isolation (275), JNIMS (10), LKK (8), UNACCO (8), Sadbhavna (5), Kangpokpi (5), JNV Chandel (1), PR Kakching (3), Bal Bhavan (7), Bishnupur (3), Tamenglong (3) and Thoubal (4), state COVID-19 common control room said.
It said n the past 24 hours, 242 persons from general population and three personnel from Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) were confirmed as new COVID-19 positive cases.
The positive cases from general population belonged to Imphal West (129), Imphal East (35), Thoubal (20), Bishnupur (40), Kakching (4), Kangpokpi (2), Churachandpur (9), Jiribam (1) and Kamjong (2).
All were locals without any significant travel history. They were being shifted to the COVID Cam facilities. All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing were in place, the control room said.
In the last 24 hours, three persons aged 58 years (male, Imphal East), 75 years (male, Thoubal) and 55 years (male, Imphal East) expired at JNIMS and RIMS (2) Hospital respectively. The cumulative number of deaths stood at 197 mark.
The cumulative number of positive cases was 20,376; the cumulative number of recovered cases was 17,072; and the cumulative number of active cases was 3,107 (general population – 2,857 and central security personnel – 250).
