Imphal: In the past 24 hours till 5 pm of Friday, 123 persons from general population and 8 personnel from Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) were confirmed as new COVID-19 positive cases, and three patients expired.
The positive cases were from JNIMS – 49; RIMS – 4; Maipakpi – 2; Tengnoupal – 8; Noney – 3; Churachandpur – 2; Imphal East – 9; Bishnupur – 1; Senapati – 3; Jiribam – 4; Thoubal – 9; Christian – 1; Raj Medicity – 6; Kakching – 5; Hillside – 2; Advance – 5; Babina – 14; Tamenglong – 4.
The positive cases from general population are from Imphal West – 24; Imphal East – 59; Thoubal – 12; Churachandpur – 4; Kakching – 5; Tamenglong – 4; Noney – 3; Senapati – 4; Bishnupur – 1; Tengnoupal – 1; Jiribam – 4; Kangpokpi – 2. 9 persons (IE-1, IW-8) are returnees while the rest are locals without any significant travel history.
“They are being shifted to the Covid care facilities. All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place,” COVID-19 common control room said.
Those expired were males of the ages 52 years (CAPF), 40 years (Kakching) and 76 years (Imphal West). They expired at RIMS, JNIMS and Raj Hospital respectively.
The cumulative number of COVID death is 86, the control room said.
A total of 147 COVID-19 patients were discharged from CAPF – 28, Home Isolation – 8, Lamding -1, Noney – 18, PHC Haochong – 2, UNACCO – 21, Sadbhavna Mandop – 13, Lamboikhong – 41, RD Wing – 2, Tamenglong – 3, TK Ukhrul – 3, CCC Thoubal – 5, Senapati – 1, Kangpokpi – 1.
The cumulative number of positive cases is 12,810 (general population – 10,313 and central security personnel 2,497). The number of active cases is 2,858 (general population – 2,497 and central security personnel – 361). The recovery rate is 77.01 percent.
