Imphal: In the past 24 hours, two women of the ages 75 and 53 from Imphal West passed away expired at RIMS and JNIMS respectively due to Covid 19 and other co-morbid conditions.
This was updated at 5 pm on Monday by state Covid-19 common control room.
With this the cumulative number of deaths is 59.
During the day 87 persons from general population and 29 personnel from Central Armed Police Force were confirmed as new Covid-19 positive cases, the control room said.
The positive cases are from VRDL, UNIMS – 60; Shija Hospital – 1; Noney – 1; Bishnupur – 3; Churachandpur – 1; JNIMS RAT – 1; Kangpokpi – 6; Imphal East -5; Little Clinic – 1; Tamenglong – 5; Thoubal – 19; Kakching – 5; Advance Hospital-2; Christian Hospital – 1; Babina Diagnostics – 4; Raj Medicity – 1. They are from Imphal West-2; Imphal East – 39; Churachandpur – 2; Senapati 1; Noney 1; Tamenglong – 5; Kakching 5; Thoubal – 22; Bishnupur – 3; Kangpokpi – 7, it added .
“Four persons (Churachandpur -1, Bishnupur -2, Senapati – 1) out of the general population are returnees from other states while the rest 83 are locals without any significant travel history,” the control room said.
They are being shifted to the Covid Care facilities. All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, it added.
In the past twenty-four hours, 71 persons were discharged. They are from CAPF (53), JNIMS (8), CCC Lamboikhongnangkhong (1), CCC Lamding (5), CCC JNV Chandel (3) and CCC Jiribam (1) after they were found Covic-19 free on RT PCR test.
The cumulative number of positive cases is 9010 (general ppulation – 7052 and central security personnel -1958). The number of active cases is 2113 (general Population – 1822 and central security personnel -291). The recovery rate is 75.89 percent.
