Imphal: Launching the “Poshan Maah” in the state on Monday, Chief Minister N. Biren Singh said Manipur has traditional local dishes which are high in nutritional values. In a short video message posted on his Facebook timeline, he stressed on the importance of such local dishes to fight mal-nutrition.
He also posted “On this #POSHANMaah2020 let us all contribute to the dreams of Hon’ble PM Narendra Modi ji in creating a strong and malnutrition-free India. While observing #POSHANMaah2020, let’s promote #Local4Poshan by sharing local & traditional nutritious recipes on https://innovate.mygov.in/poshanrecipe.”
He also appealed to the people of the state to share recipes of local dishes on https://innovate.mygov.in/poshanrecipe.
“Poshan Maah 2020” is a social media campaign launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday to eradicate malnutrition by spreading awareness.
Launching the campaign, PM tweeted “Proper nutrition is vital to build a prosperous nation. #POSHANMaah2020 starts today. Let us undertake efforts to reach out to people across the length and breadth of India and spread awareness on eradicating malnutrition. This will help our Nari Shakti and Yuva Shakti.”
