Imphal: As on Friday two more Covid-19 patients passed away while 118 persons including 37 central security personnel were tested positive and 100 patients were recovered.
Manipur Covid-19 common control room said the positive cases are from VRDL, RIMS – 10; VRDL, JNIMS-40; Thoubal — 9; Advance Hospital — 4; Sabina Diagnostics — 9; lmphal West RAT -25; Churachandpur — 6; IRL — 2; Imphal East -12; Raj Medicity – 1. They are from lmphal West – 37; lmphal East – 24; Thoubal — 12; ICakching -1; Bishnupur — 1; Senapati — 2; Churachandpur -2; Tengnoupal – 2.
Two persons (Kakching – 1, Churachandpur I) out of the general population are returnees from other states while the rest 79 are locals without any significant travel history. They are being shifted to the Covid care facilities. All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, the control room said.
The two persons (one a army male, 55, from Chandel and one female, 40, from lmphal East) expired at JNIMS due to Covid-19 and other co-morbid conditions. The cumulative number of deaths is 27, it added.
Hundred persons were discharged from from CAPF (59), Senapati (1), UNACCO (19), Thoubal (12), JNIMS (7) and RIMS (2) after they were found Covid-19 free on RT PCR test.
The cumulative number of positive cases is 5843 (general population – 4332 and central security personnel – 1511). The cumulative number of recovered cases is 4057 (general population – 3286 and central security personnel – 771). The number of active cases is 1759 (general population -1021 and central security personnel -738). The recovery rate is 69.43 percent.
Dr Khoirom Sasheekumar Mangang, additional director and spokesperson of state health department said one can consult government doctors from home (10 a.m. to 3 p.m. every day except on Sunday). For this he suggested to download eSanjeevani OPD app at Google Play store or go to website w.esanieevaniopd.in. For consultation, one can use Smartphone or Computer/ Laptop/ Tablet with intemet connection. OPD consultation on eSanjecvani OPD is around 124 as on August 28.
