Imphal: A 48-year old male from Imphal East expired at RIMS due to Covid-19 and other co-morbid health conditions bringing the death toll to 17.
A total of 118 persons including 24 personnel from Central Armed Police Force were confirmed as new Covid-19 positive cases in Manipur as on Monday 5 pm.
The positive cases are from VRDL, JNIMS – 9; Raj Medicity – 3; DH Noney – 2; Babina Diagnostics – 2; DH Churachandpur — 25; Imphal West RAT — 69; Shija Hospital — 2; DH Thoubal — 5; DH Tamenglong -1. They are from Imphal West – 72; Thoubal – 6; Tamenglong — 1; Imphal East – 12; Churachandpur — 1; Noney – 2. All the cases of the general population are locals without any significant travel history. They are being shifted to the Covid Care facilities. All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, state Covid-19 common control room informed.
It said in the past 24 hours, 102 persons were discharged. They are from CAPF (7), RIMS (5), CCC Lamboikhongngangkhong (81), Kasom (8) and Senapati (1) after they were found Covid-19 free on RT PCR test.
The cumulative number of positive cases is 4687 (general population —3471 and central security personnel – 1216). The cumulative number of discharged cases is 2734 (general population-2480 and central security personnel-254). The number of active cases is 1936 (general population -975 and central security Personnel – 961). The recovery rate is 58.33 percent.
