Imphal: Residents of Andro seize local liquor and win cigarettes on Saturday morning. Volunteers in Andro village intercepted some persons ferrying around 350 bottles of liquor brewed in the villages at around 2 am early in the morning.
In the meantime, villagers also intercepted a car carrying Win cigarettes worth around Rs. 5.40 lakh. Locals later destroyed seized items.
It may be mentioned that Andro village has prohibited entry of outsiders in the village in view of the Covid-19 pandemic.
