Varsity employees restricted to enter administrative block

Imphal: “All the employees of Manipur University and visitors are strictly restricted to enter the administrative block of the varsity until further orders,” an official order said on Thursday.

However, one or two officer(s) for each section and one staff in the administrative block are allowed to attend office of the administration tor urgent official works, the order issued by registrar Prof. W. Chandbabu Singh said.

The Academic Council meeting scheduled for July 31 has been postponed until further notice, the order said.

A multi-tasking staff posting in the faculty section of the varsity was found positive for Covid-19. The staff belongs to Thoubal Moijing Awang Leikai.

The registrar has reported to the director of health services and requested to conduct a test for the other remaining staff of the university working and living together with the infected staff during the last three/four days specially the staff posting at the faculty section and administrative block at an early date.
