    Manipur Cabinet decides to enforce total lockdown

    Imphal:  The Manipur state Cabinet has decided to impose total lockdown for seven days starting at 2 pm of Thursday.

    Manipur chief minister posted the information on his Facebook post wall on Wednesday.

    He said, “In view of the current COVID-19 situation in Manipur, the emergency state Cabinet meeting has decided to impose total lockdown for 7 days starting from 2 pm of July 23 which might be extended further for seven more days.”

    He appeal to all to abide by lockdown guidelines.

    Forty-five new positive cases were confirmed as on Wednesday. Thirty-four persons were discharged from Covid care centres after they were found free from the contagion.

    The cumulative number of positive cases has risen to 2060.
